Sister Act the Musical in Sunderland
Sunderland Empire
Mon 20 - Sat 25 Sep 2027
Brace yourselves sisters! Direct from the West End, the smash-hit musical Sister Act comes to Sunderland Empire as part of its UK and Ireland tour, starring Strictly Come Dancing favourite Craig Revel Horwood as Mother Superior, ChuckleVision legend Paul Chuckle as Monsignor O’Hara and West End star Zoe Birkett as Deloris Van Cartier.
*Craig Revel Horwood will not be performing on Saturday performances.
Disco diva Deloris’ life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Placed under protective custody, she is hidden in the one place she shouldn’t be found: a convent. Featuring original music by Tony® and 8-time Oscar® winner Alan Menken and songs inspired by Motown, soul and disco, Sister Act is the feel-good musical that raises the spirits and warms the soul.
